Community Communication for Health Development in Africa (COHEDA) is a registered non-profit making, non-political, and Non-Governmental Humanitarian Organization (NGO) that was established in year 2001. It is a Nationally operated NGO with Offices in Nairobi and Kisii County for South Rift and Western Kenya Region Its head office is based in Nairobi, Kenya. We have a Western Region Centre in Nyanza Province and we operated in Southern Sudan with the acquired support from the Kenya Southern Sudan Liaison Office (KESSULO). COHEDA promotes community empowerment and poverty reduction with the aim of improving livelihoods in the community through strategic plans that encompass a variety of economic programmes, community group formation and engineering works.
Vision: To empower communities to live a decent life through provision of standard ways of living.
Mission: To establish strategic partnerships with both state and non state actors for technical guidance and technology advancements for improved livelihood.
The organization’s plans and programs are centered on
multi-sectoral projects encompassing peace building, food
security, women and child focus, community education
culture and heritage HIV/AIDS, water and sanitation,
environmental degradation and entrepreneurial enhancement.
